Package Overview

Source of the Nile (Point Zero) is where River Nile starts flowing and goes through South-Sudan, Sudan and Egypt to join the Mediterranean Sea in North Africa- this being the longest river in the world. The source is situated at the edge of Lake Victoria, northeast of Kampala in Jinja town. On top of visiting the Source of the Nile you will also go for rafting on River Nile of which you will definitely have to take a plunge into the water.

Itinerary

Day One: You will be picked up from an agreed location in Kampala by 7am and driven to the Haven Lodge in Jinja for about 100Km with a healthy stopover at Bannz Nile Grill. Proceed with your journey and check-in at the Haven Lodge, have lunch after which you will head off to the Source of River Nile where you will take a short boat cruise to the actual point where the river starts flowing northwards- also known as Point Zero. After exploring the Source of River Nile you will be taken on a tour around Jinja town and then returned back to the Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day Two: Wake up to an early breakfast so that by 7am you are ready to be driven to the rafting starting point where you will be briefed and get all the necessary rafting gear before going to the river. Expect to spend almost the greater part of the day (5 to 7hours) on the river. Lunch will be provided along the river as well as other refreshments at the end of the activity. You will then be returned back to the Lodge to relax and reminisce about your rafting experience on the Nile with an option of hanging out later in the night to catch-up with Jinja’s night life or resting at your hotel room.

Day Three: Have breakfast and checkout of the Haven Lodge by 9am. Transfer back to Kampala for about 110Km passing via Ssezibwa falls in Lugazi town. Stopover at Bannz Nile Grill for lunch. After lunch, proceed to Kampala, arriving at 6pm and be dropped off at an agreed place.
